WebI installed a Tech Sight in my 580 series Mini 14 in about 20-30 minutes. It mounts via the same threaded hole as the factory sight, so no drilling or tapping is necessary. If you can shoot a consistent group with the iron sights then put the scope back on. Make sure the scope mounts are secure to the mounting rail. I like having a ranch rifle with iron sights and no frills and this fits the bill. I would like to add an adjustable gas block so I don't have to have 3 clear benches between me and the next guy on the right though.
