WebJul 29, 2024 · 07-29-2024 02:01 PM. This laptop is about 5 years old. I am not sure that i know the true reason that the screen is randomly flashing on and off. Sometime in the last few months, the screen started flashing on and off. I want to say that it has done that 5 times maximum (with one of times it seemed to actually turn seemingly off then on again).
